Intro To Amma

This course is a simplified, yet solid introduction to the major theories of Chinese medicine, as taught in my Amma Therapy Apprenticeship Program.

About This Course

I have been teaching and practicing Amma for more than 30 years. It's a wonderful path that I was blessed to step on at a young age. To me, Amma is a lifestyle. Within my practice and teaching I strive to impart the wisdom and principles of Chinese/Asian medicine, the Amma technique (a highly refined form of bodywork), seasonal living, nutrition and herbs. The integration of such knowledge is empowering in all aspects of our lives.

Amma is for everyone

My purpose with this course (and other supporting courses) is to make this realm of knowledge easily accessible and applicable to participants.

The information in this course is ideal for -

  • Personal knowledge and self growth - you just want it for yourself and family

  • Practitioners who wish to integrate this information into their current practices

  • Those wishing to pursue deeper learning in my 500 hr. Amma Apprenticeship - we should talk, I am considering taking on a few apprentices this fall.

There are two aspects of Amma Therapy - the didactic knowledge and the physical bodywork. This is a lecture course with some self Amma and point work. For those wishing to learn more Amma Bodywork Technique check out Intro To Amma Bodywork, which is an 18 hour intro to the full bodywork form.

No prior knowledge of Chinese medicine or nutrition is necessary.

I have had the pleasure of teaching Amma to young adults and elders alike. Indeed, groups with a variety of ages and folks from different walks of life create a unique opportunity for learning and sharing together.
