Chinese Medicine For Young Women

$249. Available June 1st.

4 hrs of recorded presentations and downloadable pdfs,

This is one of my most popular courses and is perfect for younger women ages 13 on up to want to have a greater understanding of their cycles through the lens of Chinese medicine. This course is excellent for practitioners and alumni who work with young women.

The course focuses on younger women's menstrual cycles - addressing what is considered a healthy or difficult cycle from both Western and Eastern perspectives.  We will cover patterns of disharmony including PMS, anemia, cramps, mood swing and exhaustion.  Learn specific foods, herbs, and acupressure to use to create vital healthy cycles or treat disharmonies as they come up.

No prior knowledge of Chinese medicine is necessary.

Topics covered include -

  • Understanding the organs (Liver, Conception Vessel, etc.) involved in women's cycles

  • Understanding the roles of Qi, Blood and Yin in menstrual cycles

  • The Generation of Qi, Blood and Fluids pdf

  • What's 'normal' and what's 'common' in cycles

  • Breast Friends and Enemies

  • Common disharmonies in Western medical terms, and how they are defined and treated in Chinese medicine

  • Understanding the emotions often accompany different parts of the cycle

  • Nutritional habits for maintaining healthy cycles and building blood

  • Foods to avoid or include

  • Specific herbs and classical herbal formulas for menstrual issues

  • Specific needs for athletes

  • Specific Qigong exercises

I love helping to empower young women in care of self including self advocacy in a medical system that notoriously under serves women's needs - we are working to change that!
