Cherries in Red Wine
Cherries and red wine--how can you go wrong? Serve these cherries steeped in wine with a simple dollop of sweetened cream or pour them over an almond pound cake. During the winter, I use frozen cherries and add more spices like cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger to warm up.
Healing Benefits: High in vitamin A and C, copper, and manganese. Cherries are high in flavonoids.
Energetics: Warm, sweet and sour. Cherries enter the Heart, Liver, Stomach, Spleen, Lungs and Kidney. They cleanse and nourish the blood and benefit the eyes.
