Raspberries are fragile and only available for a short period of time. Their bright, tangy flavors pair beautifully with lavender that blooms at the same time. A kiss of honey and we have a light, simple dessert or side for breakfast.
Rinse berries gently under cool water. Leave them drain while making the lavender syrup.
In small sauce pan, combine lavender and water.
Bring to boil and infuse water for 3-10 minutes. The longer the infusion, the stronger the lavender flavor.
Remove from heat and strain out lavender blossoms.
Add honey and dissolve honey.
Drizzle over berries and serve immediately.
Healing benefits: Raspberries are loaded with antioxidants and vitamins.
Energetics: Berries nourish yin and astringe dampness, the honey moistens yin and lavender calms, reduces inflammation and circulates blood.
