Dealing with a weakened digestive system will affect all of us at some point in our lives. As the basis of all health and healing in our body, the digestive system is one of great importance and having some simple knowledge of how to keep your digestion healthy and strong to treating issues as soon as they arise are essential in overall well being.
Whether you were born with a weak digestive system or you have lost digestive vibrancy due to illness or injury, this is the class for you.
My intent with class is to introduce participants to some of the simplest yet most profound steps you can learn to help keep your digestion strong or begin treating yourself, your family or your clients — this is an excellent refresher for my Amma Therapy and Holistic Nutrition alumni.
We will begin with a brief overview of the digestive system from both a Western and Eastern perspective. Our focus will then shift to understanding patterns of disharmony according to Asian medicine (Chinese medicine) and the steps you can take to improve your digestive health for both acute and chronic patterns.
The class focuses on whole food recommendations, herbs, nutritional habits and specific medicinal recipes.
No prior knowledge of Asian medicine (Chinese Medicine) is necessary.
